7th Grade

In 7th grade I began reading the Bible. I’m not sure why I was suddenly so eager to read the Bible, but I did so consistently every night. Recently, I found my old journal that I used back then.

Here are some excerpts.

“Jesus is more than just a figure or just some guy. Neither is he a worldly king.”

“Jesus tells them that the food they are working for will spoil. They should work for food that won’t spoil, eternal life. We shouldn’t work for worldly items, but eternal life. We can gain that by believing in Jesus and what he did for us.”

“Because we believe in him, we know for sure that we are saved. That Christ is in us and we are in Christ. We shouldn’t have any doubts or worries. This is what really matters, that we are saved.”

“Everything happening to us is part of God’s will for us. He won’t allow anything that isn’t supposed to happen happen. Everything is for our own good and for God’s will.”

“Does that mean once we’re Christian we can’t not be saved?????” (in reaction to John 10:25-30).

It’s weird to read my own writing 8 years later. However, it’s so interesting to see my view of God and Jesus develop. It is also amazing to see how Scripture is able to reveal truths to those who seek it.

Retreat

I haven’t felt so convicted from a retreat in a long time.

How could I forget the glories and wonders of heaven and trade them for pitiful prizes on earth?

The Astounding Views From L.A.’s Griffith Observatory

all-thats-interesting:

While looking up is what the popular Griffith Observatory is most widely known for, one can’t neglect to mention what beauty awaits just below it: the observatory overlooks Hollywood, downtown L.A. as well as the Pacific Ocean.

Oh wait, it wasn’t even a tea party. It was the destruction of tea?

  • Andrea: Size 3
  • Vincent: What?
  • Josh: Their numbers are different.
  • Vincent: Oh, I guess they make it smaller so girls will feel better.
